Download:: Why arming Ukraine is an act of freedom?
Since the beginning of the war, NATO member states have received a great deal of criticism regarding the huge military supplies sent to Ukraine, so as to counter the Russian advance to take Ukraine.
Although invading another nation is a clear violation of freedom the citizens of the so-called Western states, acting as self-styled pacifists, are reluctant to send these massive armaments to Ukraine because of the possible implications that this may have for them.
The European people had not seen a war on the continent for over 76 years, in a sense we were not remotely prepared nor did we think that this invasion could happen, and therefore due to the right thought that weapons used as means to harm are a wrong thing, they miss the legacy of World War II.
The liberation of Europe took place thanks to the heroic sacrificed lives of the allies, who armed themselves to defend justice, freedom and democracy against Hitler’s Nazi evil.
Therefore, arming Ukraine is not just arming one nation in order to make it prevail over the invader, but more simply we are arming a free, democratic state, which since the collapse of the USSR has no longer emerged from the torment of the Russian Federation.
The freedom of Ukrainian people is priceless, and every means is necessary and in this case “si vis pacem, para bellum”.
